Dr.-Ing. habil. Bernd Prüger, born in 1948, is the founder and owner of DR. BERND PRÜEGER EQUIPMENT ENGINEERING located in Langewiesen, Thuringia. This company, founded in 1991, specializes in offering products and services within the field known as DIALOG-PRODUCTION. This field involves equipment development which renounces exact documentation and instead uses a constructive dialog with the customer from the first instance. This saves a lot of design effort and technical preparation while resulting in optimization during the product development process. Additionally, the company deals with the production and distribution of weapons for sport and hunting. Special products in this area include optoelectronic simulators for shooting which allow for the substitution of real sharp shooting by using a simulator. In this way the safety-engineering and the ecological conditions during the training of shooters will be improved.

Dr. Prüger studied at the Ilmenau Technical University and graduated as a Diploma Engineer in the field of production engineering and production control. In 1975 he received a PHD (German Dr.-Ing.) for work in the field of applying mathematical-statistical methods in controlling production.

From 1982 to 1990 Dr. Prüger worked in Industry as a scientist. During this time he developed various technical products and equipment and obtained numerous patents in the field of technical equipment production.

In 1989 Dr. Prüger received a post-Doctorate degree in technical sciences by presenting a dissertation on the concept and design of an optoelectronic simulator for shooting by using discrete sensors as an alternative to the sharp shooting.

Aside from hunting, Dr. Prüger is particular interested in problems relating to the protection of the environment and nature. He is a beekeeper out of passion and conviction and offers the extraordinary course "Management with Bees".

Dr. Prüger has also written books, authored numerous papers and has given many lectures on the problems associated with this subject.
